There is the story of a man who was taken to heaven by St. Peter after he died. While wandering, they come to a place that St. Peter calls "heaven's junkyard". St. Peter said, “Sent from heaven to people living here on earth; but you will find all the gifts that they have rejected,” he explains.
The newcomer said, “But that is not possible!” says. “Some of these are very beautiful. Look at the Cadillac car over there. Who could have denied that?"
"It's interesting that you asked about that car in particular," replied St. Peter. “As a matter of fact, you were the one who rejected that Cadillac.”
"Impossible!" opposes the other. “I would never have turned down such a wonderful gift.”
“Whatever it was, it was you. Cadillac was ready to be delivered to you. But every time you prayed for a car, you pictured a little Volkswagen.”
