Subject: In 1941 In Stalin-era Soviet Russia, a group of oppressed people deported to Siberia seek a way out of this cruel life. For this cause, they take a very difficult journey towards India, 6500 km away, to regain their freedom by risking death. The following line in the movie is quite catchy: “Kindness can get you killed here.” The story of the Freedom Trail, adapted from the Polish Sławomir Rawicz's book 'The Long Walk', is quite interesting. After the book was published in 1956 and sold 500,000 copies and was translated into 25 languages, many people followed the trail of this event and its surviving witnesses, even the British BBC channel documented this legend.
