King Naked; A Story That Never Gets Old

There was a king in a country who was fond of his clothes and smug. The king, who thought himself very clever, did not think about anything other than his clothes.

One day, the king of the neighboring country announced that he wanted to visit him. Of course, the first thing that came to our king's mind was what to wear. He immediately summoned his men.

"Send news to the whole world," he said. “I want a dress that will not have a second wife in the world. I will make the tailor rich, who will sew me a dress like this. I will wear this dress when I greet my guests.”

Kısa bir süre sonra, haber her yana yayılmış. En iyi terziler, ellerindeki kumaşlarla, saraya gelmişler. Hepsi yapacaklarını krala anlatıyormuş. Ama kral anlatılanlardan hiç birini beğenmiyor;

“It should be so much better!” he kept shouting.

Finally, a very young tailor appeared before the king.

"Let's see what you brought," asked the king. The tailor's young and inexperienced stance greatly discouraged the king.

The young tailor said, "My very special dear king, whom I brought. “I will weave such a cloth and sew such a dress for you that no one has ever worn such a dress before you.”

The king was very surprised by these words.

“I have one condition, however,” said the young tailor. “No one will interfere with us until we finish the suit.”

The king accepted this condition with the joy of finding what he was looking for. Immediately give two bags of gold;

"Hurry then!" he commanded.

Genç terzi hemen başlamış çalışmaya. Ertesi gün iki kese altın daha istemiş kraldan. Kral hiç itiraz etmeden vermiş altınlarını. Aradan günler geçtikçe, kral genç terzinin dokuduğunu söylediği kumaşı merak etmiş. Sonunda dayanamayıp, çalıştığı odaya girmiş. Genç terzi tezgahın başında harıl harıl çalışıyormuş. Kral sessizce bir süre izlemiş, bir şey göremeyince;

"So you've been sitting idle all this time, huh?" he roared. “Did I give you the gold in a purse for nothing!”

The tailor is calm and confident;

“My esteemed king,” he said. Only smart people can see this fabric. Look how beautiful it was. Is not it?"

The king was surprised at what to say. In order not to become a fool;

He had to say “Yes, yes, very nice” and quickly left the room.

The king's dress has been circulating in the city from ear to ear. “Only the wise can see!” People's curiosity increased the more they heard about it. Finally, the day of the ceremony came. The people have gathered, the preparations are over. The tailor robbed the king and dressed him in a robe as if he really existed. Then cross over to him;

“You look very elegant, sir,” he said. “You are amazing.”

In the face of these compliments of the young tailor, the king ignored the naked body he saw in the mirror;

He said, "Well done, it's very nice".

The king came out of the palace with his new clothes. The people gathered outside were very surprised to see the king naked. But no one dared to tell the king the truth. Suddenly a little boy cried out;

“The king is naked!!!”

Then the people, who were encouraged, started to laugh. The king understood the truth, albeit late, in such a bitter way.

  1. I think what is meant here is: Since the tailors who took the fabrics to the king were beheaded, that last tailor wanted to teach the king a lesson. he invented this "smart fabric" that will leave him with the head of so many people for the sake of a pleasure that will leave him among the stupid, the smart and the infamous. so what I'm going to say is: revenge etc. something is explained. "in my opinion"
