Do Yourself a Favor
It tells the story of a woman who distanced herself from people because she could not see the reward for her good deeds. In fact, his story carries a piece of us all.
Leaving herself to nature, the young woman seeks a solution to her distress. He sits on the side of a tree to rest during a part of his journey. All of a sudden, his thoughts are voiced and he starts talking to himself: Why are people like this! No one understands the value of kindness... The young woman is startled by a voice that suddenly interferes with her words. He realizes that the tree he is leaning on is starting to talk to him. He is stunned, but willing to listen to the tree speak:
Says the old tree, when you do a good deed, you should not expect the favor in return; because the rules of the universe work like this: The good you do may harm or cause harm to the other person in the long run. That goodness comes to you in another form, or it has come to you and you have not noticed it. Sometimes the good you do builds up in the credits of the universe, but it's late. And sometimes you get your reward from a squirrel, a tree, or another human being. Tools are not important. After all, if you believe that you are doing something good, it will surely pay off for you; sometimes it comes late, sometimes it comes five.
So do yourself a favor and don't expect your favor in return!
When she opens her eyes, the young woman realizes that a path appears in front of the tree.
This path is the path of wisdom.
