That day is today, men and women confuse them. However, there are some of them who have seen the face of beauty beforehand, who recognize it regardless of their clothes. And again, there are some who know the face of ugliness, they recognize ugliness from their eyes.


We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.

Halil Cibran (Khalil Gibran), 1883 yılında Lübnan’da doğmuş; şair, filozof ve ressam kimliğiyle dünya edebiyatında derin izler bırakmış bir düşünürdür. En bilinen eseri Ermiş (The Prophet), insanın yaşam, emek, sevgi, özgürlük ve kaderle ilişkisini şiirsel bir dille ele alır. Cibran’ın düşünce dünyasında insan, pasif bir kader mahkûmu değil; bilinci ve emeğiyle kendi yolunu inşa eden bir varlıktır.
