Two beggars lived outside a village. One was blind, the other had no legs. One day, a forest fire broke out outside the village, in the area where the beggars lived. Of course, the beggars were also rivals. They were begging from the same people in the same profession. They were always angry with each other. They were enemies, not friends.
As the forest burned, the two beggars thought for a moment. They were enemies to each other. They weren't even talking. But this was an emergency. The blind man called out to the man who had no legs. “There is only one way out. I will take you on my shoulders. You will use my legs; I also your eyes. Only in this way can we be saved.”
Instantly understood. There was no problem. The legless man could not get out. There was no way he could get out of the burning forest quickly. All sides were in flames. It could go a little further, but it was useless. Had to get out very quickly. The blind man knew he couldn't get out either. He could not see where the fire was, the road, which trees were burning, where there were gaps. He would disappear as a blind man.
But both were smart. They abandoned their hostility and became friends. And they saved their lives.
This is an Eastern fairy tale. It's about the mind and heart. It has nothing to do with begging. It has something to do with you. It has nothing to do with forest fire.
It has something to do with you, because you are the one that is on fire. Every moment you burn, suffer, whine in pain. The mind alone is blind. It has legs, it can run fast, it can travel very fast; But because he is blind, he does not know which way to go. That's why he constantly trips, falls, hurts himself and thinks that life is meaningless. All intellectuals in the world say this. “Life is meaningless.” they say.
Life seems meaningless to them. Because they try to see the light with the blind mind. This is impossible.
There is also a heart inside. He sees, feels, but has no legs; It cannot run, it stays where it is. It waits constantly. One day the mind will understand and use the eyes of the heart.
When I say trust, I mean the eyes of your heart. When I say doubt, I mean the legs of your mind.
Together, the two can survive the fire. No problem. But remember, the mind has to accept the heart on its shoulders. It has to. The heart has no legs, only eyes. And the mind must listen to the heart and follow its directions.
With the involvement of the heart, the mind turns into intelligence. This is a transformation; a holistic energy transformation. Then man becomes not an intellectual, but simply wise.
Wisdom comes from the meeting of the heart and the mind. When you learn the art of creating harmony between your heart and your mind, you have the whole secret in your hands. You will have the picket that will open the door to all mysteries.
