Moso Tree
Moso, a kind of bamboo tree that grows in the Far East, shows no growth for five years after planting, even under the most ideal conditions. Then, as if by a magic hand, suddenly 40-50 cm a day. It starts to grow up to a height of 27 meters and finally reaches a height of about 27 meters in six weeks. Actually, it's not magic. The reason why the Moso tree pretends to stand still and grows rapidly is because of its hundreds of meters of roots, which it has patiently planted in the ground for five years.
The story of the Moso bamboo reminds us that growth does not always mean visible progress.
