The Way of a Sufi<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

A passing Sufi notices a scared young man sitting in a dark pit. She approaches him and, bowing, curiously: "Why are you there?" he asks.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The young man, startled by the Sufi's voice, hesitantly replies, "Because I'm afraid."<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo why are you afraid?\u201d ' the Sufi asks curiously again. The young man reluctantly replies: "Because it's dark here."<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Sufi asks again: "And why are you in the dark?"<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Young man: \u201cBecause I lost the love inside me.\u201d he replies.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Sufi stretched out his hand towards him and said, \u201cThen come to me, this is the light!\u201d says.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After some hesitation and waiting, he said, \u201cNo, I can't!\u201d says the young man, and continues in a sad tone: \u201cI am used to the dark now, and to be afraid!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Upon this to him <\/em>The aroused Sufi says: \u201cWell then\u2026 I am coming to you; but with all my brilliance!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Sufi knew something about people:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>If you shine the light on the darkness before people, they will thank you. If you hold on to the darkness within them, they will hate you.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
