Doctor of Philosophy<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Once a doctor, a well-known historian, and a prominent scholar lived in a village. The post chief, the old post chief of the village, this old man, this doctor was curious. He wondered what kind of doctor you were, so he asked one day: "What kind of doctor are you, sir?"<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDoctor of philosophy,\u201d said the man.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The old man had never heard of such a thing. He was surprised and said: "I've never heard of such a disease here."<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Don't laugh, because that old postmaster is right in a way... Philosophy is a kind of disease. Of course, doctors of philosophy are not doctors; on the contrary, they are the perfect victims of the disease.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Philosophy is not a specific disease, so you cannot think of it in cases. It is as old as humanity or the human mind. And every person is a bit of a victim of it\u2026 Because thinking goes nowhere or takes you into circles, vicious circles. You progress a lot, and if you are an expert, you will progress fast, but you will get nowhere...<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It's human... to think about questions and try to find answers. But philosophy finds no answer. Science may find some answers, religion may find some answers, but philosophy can find no answers. And all the answers that philosophy seems to find are only the peripheries: if you dig deep you will find nothing but more questions. So every answer leads to more questions\u2026 And it goes on, it stops!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
