Motivation in Corona Days
Hello, I would like to share my thoughts on how we can maintain our motivation power these days when we are experiencing the Corona epidemic.
The title of the chapter may sound familiar to some of you. I borrowed this name from Marquez's "Love in the Time of Cholera". The story of a great love is told in this work, which was transferred to the cinema from the novel of the same name. It is about a man's life expectancy for the woman he is passionately in love with. While we are living the days of Corona, maybe we are being tested with our passion for life and our dreams.
I always talk about how important the power of love is in terms of life motivation. Now may be the time to hug the people closest to us with love. What this disease imposes on us can become, in a positive light, all we really need.
We are going through such a period that things that will happen once in a century are happening these days. Yes, maybe millions of people die every year for different reasons, but the reason why the deaths in this period resonate so much is that everything develops very quickly and causes social and economic outrage. Look how a tiny virus has brought the whole world to its knees!
It's like we're witnessing history. A complete war of survival is being waged all over the world. It's like living in a Stephen King novel. But there is much we can learn from this process.
Next to death, everything is meaningless, everything outside of life is meaningless.
Isn't it really so? As people of the world, we are so connected to each other that we realize that we can only be as free as all human beings and survive as all humans.
Despite all these negativities, positive things are not happening. According to the latest news I learned, fish have started to be seen again in Venice. This is just an example. Despite everything, you may actually realize that life continues to flow in full swing. Do not neglect to see the beauties experienced during this whole process… For example, take a little more time to keep your spirits high. For example, try to do things that you couldn't do before because you couldn't find the time.
How you define a situation is more important than the event itself. Is this a disaster or an opportunity to rest or renew ourselves?
One of the things that caught my attention in this process is that we are at war with the virus. First of all, being at war with anything and seeing it as the enemy is basically not the right approach. Just as it is meaningless to fight a traffic monster, fighting this virus will not make sense either. An illness or a problem is the only thing that can improve us to the extent that we can learn from it.
From the point of view of psychosomatics, all diseases arise not to fight them, but to teach us something. Try to understand the disease and realize what it aims to teach you. Ultimately, we know that what doesn't kill us will make us stronger. From this perspective, everything basically exists to make us better. Learn from all this and move on. Try to see this as an opportunity to strengthen your immune system.
Focus on the Things You Control
What I've noticed throughout this whole process is that people are constantly focusing on things beyond their control, wasting their time and energy on them. Taking care of the world is fine, but you must continue to focus on things within your control. What can you do? Try to focus on that. When these problems pass one day, you will not be able to get back the time you lost. Keep your eyes on your goals in life, focus on what's important!
Of course, you can get information about daily developments, but try to keep yourself as emotionally neutral as possible during this period. As a result, deaths occur anywhere in the world for different reasons. Accept this as a natural consequence of life.
Belirsizliği Azaltın
The most frustrating part of this process is the uncertainty. In this environment of uncertainty, you should try to keep yourself in a certain mental structure. Make yourself an action plan and clarify your options. Eliminate uncertainty within yourself. It's not easy, but keep preparing for your exam, keep improving your work, keep renewing yourself. Because one day, when everything gets better, which it will, you will be the one who will come out of this process in the strongest way, remember that!
When your mind is filled with pessimistic thoughts, try to look a little further, to direct your attention to the future. Look 6 months, 1 year ahead, imagine 10 years ahead. Think that better days are waiting for you.
Ways to Cope with Anxiety and Worries / Optimistic Thinking Techniques
For those of us who live a one-way life, things may not be going the way they want. They planned everything perfectly, they did everything that society wanted. But crack! Everything is gone. Might be, plan A might be messed up. What will happen now? There's no one to blame, never was. It may be time for them to consider plans B and C these days.
Bu Bir Fırsat Olabilir
Until now, perhaps you hated your job. Perhaps all these experiences may have reminded you how valuable your job that you disliked is. For someone else, this could turn into a great opportunity. Maybe it's time to start a job you love. Because that's where true happiness lies.
These events tell us something in terms of predicting the future. How can we turn this crisis into an opportunity for ourselves? How can we renew ourselves? How can we build the business of the future, not today? How can we become the person of the future, not the person of the present?
In certain sectors, the end of the road is now in sight. We notice this once again. Classic industrial management is now coming to an end. The world is becoming virtual, getting smaller and individualized. Artificial intelligence and machines are taking the place of classic jobs. In this new century, nothing will turn into a lasting success except investments in knowledge and people. All because of a tiny virus. Can you imagine? You invested so much and your business went bankrupt because of a virus you couldn't see. It may sink! But if you are a true entrepreneur, you do better. You should do better.
