His pen pal liked it so much that he gave the waiter a good tip at the restaurant where he ate.
Surprised by the amount of this tip, the waiter gave some of the money to the poor he saw on the way.
The poor man was overjoyed; because he hadn't had a bite in his mouth for two days. After he finished his meal, he set out to go to the secluded room where he was staying. He came across a shivering puppy on the road and took him home. The pup was very happy to escape the cold and find a place to lay his head.
There was a fire in the house at night. The puppy started to bark. He barked until he woke the whole household, and thus the whole household was saved. One of the survivors grew up and became president.
What made all this happen was an innocent, warm and sincere Smile that didn't cost a penny.
